This really is THE  family favourite … and sharing it with you has been met with some resistance !

From our organic, pasture-for-life beef (never fed grain), Aberdeen Angus cattle Onglet which is also known as the Hanger Steak is in fact offal and best cooked on the BBQ as a steak.  Also delicious slow cooked. It has a deep beefy flavour due to its location close to the liver.  Also very nutritious !

We present it as a whole piece including its characteristic central sinew which importantly holds it together when cooked.

 

Shelf-life & Storage: Minimum shelf-life 7 days. Keep refrigerated. Once opened, consume within 3 days and by ‘use by date’ shown. Suitable for home freezing.

Our Beef:  We have 150 Aberdeen Angus cows running with 6 Aberdeen Angus bulls.  At any one-time we also have some 160-200 youngsters at varying stages of growth.  Our cows are never fed any grain.  They are grass-reared and grass-fed for their lives. Our Beef is Pasture-for-Life certified. If there are ever seasonal shortages we make-up with animals from other Organic & PfL certified farmers. More about Provenance here.
