This really is THE  family favourite … and sharing it with you has been met with some resistance !

From our organic, pasture-for-life beef (never fed grain), Aberdeen Angus cattle Onglet which is also known as the Hanger Steak is in fact offal and best cooked on the BBQ as a steak.  Also delicious slow cooked. It has a deep beefy flavour due to its location close to the liver.  Also very nutritious !

We present it as a whole piece (portioned to weight), including its characteristic central sinew which importantly holds it together when cooked.

Shelf-life & Storage: Minimum shelf-life 7 days. Keep refrigerated. Once opened, consume within 3 days and by ‘use by date’ shown. Occasionally pre-frozen which would be identified on the label.

DID YOU KNOW?  Our beef is certified as Organic and is Pasture-Raised. Organic and Pasture-Raised beef has been proven to be an important source of Omega 3 and more nutrient dense in comparison to “conventionally” fed Beef which is part-grain/cereal and part-grass fed.  The research paper can be found here.*  “Whilst differences between non-organic and organic systems are not new, this is the first record of the extra benefit if cattle are fed 100% -forage diets throughout their life. Their meat ought to be recognised as a ‘source of long chain n-3′, especially relevant for societies with limited fish consumption.”  *Our beef was used in the trials  Feed additive-free, Bovaer-free beef. Organic standards prohibit the use of Bovaer.
