From our Pasture-for-life, Organic Aberdeen Angus cattle: You really can’t get better for a restoring and regenerative meal than a beef oxtail stew. And it doesnt have to be winter time.
Comes bone-in and sliced ready to cook!
Weight: 500g
Please Note: occasionally pre-frozen (identified on label and you would be informed first)
Simple to cook: Brown first in a frying pan with butter; Then slow cook in a covered casserole dish or in a slow cooker with strong herbs eg a couple of bay leaves. Braise onions and carrots until they are slightly caramelised and add them to the Oxtail half-an-hour before taking out of the cooker. Serve with creamy mashed pototoes.
Feed additive-free, Bovaer-free beef. Organic and Pasture-for-Life standards prohibit the use of Bovaer.
DID YOU KNOW? Our beef is certified as Organic and Pasture-for-Life. Organic and Pasture-for-Life beef has been proven to be an important source of Omega 3 and more nutrient dense in comparison to “conventionally” fed Beef which is part-grain/cereal and part-grass fed. The research paper can be found here.*“Whilst differences between non-organic and organic systems are not new, this is the first record of the extra benefit if cattle are fed 100% -forage diets throughout their life. Their meat ought to be recognised as a ‘source of long chain n-3′, especially relevant for societies with limited fish consumption.”
